Much better than I expected

I was initially concerned that the 'bump' might feel uncomfortable, but it turned out to be quite the opposite—it adds a satisfying tactile experience. The quality of the plastic also gives these keycaps a premium feel to the touch.

I purchased these keycaps to replace the original ZSA Voyager keycaps (which are excellent, with nothing to criticize) because I was searching for completely flat or convex keycaps. Flat keycaps are in this period hard to find online (often out of stock), as most "flat" options still have some degree of curvature.

I decided to try these Chocfox keycaps as a compromise, without high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised by their quality and even by the sound they produce. The deep, cupped concavity toward the keyswitch creates a beautifully muffled, 'thocky' sound that’s incredibly satisfying.

I ordered the black, white, and lilac versions, and all three are well-made with no visible imperfections. The white ones, while nicely opaque, allow some RGB lighting to pass through—only a semicircle is illuminated, which might not appeal to everyone, but this isn’t a flaw as they aren’t designed for RGB compatibility. The black and lilac keycaps, on the other hand, block RGB completely.

The lilac color, while lovely on its own, doesn’t blend well with the Voyager’s aesthetic, in my opinion. After trying several combinations, I ultimately set the lilac aside. It’s unfortunate that there aren’t more colors available, as a wider selection would open up more creative possibilities.

One regret I have is not ordering enough black keycaps to fully cover my Voyager. As it stands, I’ve covered the alphanumeric section, and I’m very happy with how they feel during use.

One suggestion for improvement would be to offer keycaps with homing features (like small bumps or ridges) in future sets. I find myself missing this feature for practical use.

Overall, I’m positively impressed with these keycaps and would recommend trying them.
