Kailh Low Profile Mechanical Switch Collection

I got the minipeg48; it's a really pretty board and well made. I didn't buy the carry-case but it came in a nice little velvety pouch.
The reduced spacing makes it a bit harder to type on compared with an MX spaced 4x12 keyboard, but it's much more portable and definitely wins on looks. It fits in my pocket!
It's worth noting that the firmware hasn't been merged into upstream QMK yet, so if you've already got a fork then you'll have to do some fiddling to import the files from Sporewoh's github.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for low-profile switches that are compatible with the standard MX switch form factor

Being a fan of Kailh Box Jades, I set out to find "better" clicky switches. And I think I have found my endgame.

These were crisp, lighter, and deeper-sounding than what I expected. For me the tactility is a 10/10. I don't think it's going to get better than this. My personal favorite so far !

Also the packaging by chosfox is so awesome.

Got these on sale for $12. Has more frills and extras than some high end sets even have options for. I have these on a KBD67 Lite R2 and they sound/feel incredible. Very thick PBT that sounds great and looks really good too. Tolerances are good on printing and the texture is a nice surprise for the PBT. Even at full price, I'd say that these are worth it. Extremely underrated set. Love the profile and colours too. Feels like a set that will last a while.

I do want to fill in some missing/inaccurate information from the product page here in case anyone else is trying to design a board around these like I am.

The following dimensions are taken directly from the caps with calipers.

1u Caps 16.75mm x 16.75mm
2u Caps 35.2mm x 16.3mm

So a couple of interesting things to note about this. First, the 2u caps are actually almost a half millimeter shorter... which I can only assume is a manufacturing error. Not really detectable to the naked eye, but still.

The total width of 2 1u caps is 33.5mm, which means that if you are designing a switchplate/pcb for these that uses both 1u and 2u keycaps, you actually want to space the keys 1.7mm apart for all the edges to line up. If you tried to space all the 1u keys 1mm apart and assumed that the 2u keys were double the width of a 1u key plus 1mm your 2u keys literally wont fit. So extreme awareness here if you are designing a fully custom board here.

The feel of the caps:

The PBT caps feel like standard PBT with a nice non sticky texture. The clear PC material caps however, although they appear textured visually, actually feel quite sticky because of how smooth they are. A big turn off for me, but you decide, i'm just letting you know.

Last note. I recently inquired whether they would be stocking any 2u variants of the clear varieties and it sounds like the answer is NO. So if you are designing a board that uses 1u and 2u caps and you want to go all clear, you are out of luck.

I swapped to these from Box Jades, and they're brilliant. With the Jades I was getting a lot of actuation before the click while typing, and after typing for a while my fingers would cramp. With these I get the occasional actuation before the click if I'm pressing very slowly (some gaming scenarios), but haven't run into the issue while typing. These are almost as tactile as the Jades, but easier on my fingers and they have a very satisfying sound and good post-click return. A fantastic switch! Using them in a Redragon K654.

I bought those out of curiosity, simply because I found their concept intrigueing. I have to say that, in my opinion, the TTC Frozen Silent V2 are among the few really good silent switches.
They are smooth, have very little wobble and they are firm but still quiet.
One of the most important aspects (for me) is, that they are not sticky when not being pushed for a longer period of time. Some other silent switches have their top silencing pad stick a little to the top housing, something I dislike a lot.
So far, the TTC Frozen Silent V2 are my favourite stock silent switches.
